The traditional Gozo local feasts that take place in almost every village on the Island have become a form of celebration where locals enjoy drinks, food, and getting together since decades. The feast of Il-Munxar dedicated to St. Paul opens the festa season in May and Ix-Xagħra closes with the fest of the Nativity of Our Lady mid September. Colourful decorations, cultural and social happenings, and culinary delights mark the three days to one week celebration in each village.
